The innovative product range serves a wide variety of critical infrastructure applications:
- Drinking water supply – clean water for households worldwide
- Energy line pipes – oil, gas, hydrogen and more
- Structural tubes for the construction industry
- District heating pipes for urban energy supply
A sophisticated logistics concept ensures safe transport and an efficient supply chain – from the plants in Siegen or Hamm to the agreed destination. Special emphasis is placed on keeping the impact on the environment caused by greenhouse gas emissions as low as possible.
Top-Quality and Safety for Numerous Industries
In steel pipe production, safety isn’t optional. Professional quality management is indispensable – and constant quality control plus continuous range optimization are among the core tasks of Mannesmann’s entire workforce.
ISO 9001 & More
Regularly certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 and numerous national and international regulations.
Integrated Management System
The IMH defines quality requirements and monitors compliance – from material testing to certification.
Trend Detection
Statistical evaluations across all spectral data drive preventive quality measures.
Mannesmann Line Pipe Relies on [FP]-LIMS for Product Analysis
Chemical composition tests are not only completed as part of the specified standard requirements for product analysis – a large number of production-related internal tests and examinations are also carried out to ensure process reliability beyond customer requirements.
Both Hamm and Siegen are equipped with an extensive range of measuring and testing technologies. During each processing stage, extensive tests verify that the pipe meets all essential specifications – length, diameter, wall thickness, weight, mechanical-technological properties, tightness, layer thickness and coating quality.
At the heart of the analysis chain: a Bruker spectral analyzer – seamlessly connected via [FP]-LIMS to the in-house PDA system.

From Spectrometer to PDA – Automatically
All spectral analysis results are automatically transferred to the PDA system via [FP]-LIMS and regularly statistically evaluated. On this basis, preventive measures are initiated to safeguard quality from raw material to finished pipe.
Bruker Spectrometer
High-precision chemical analysis – the basis for material composition validation.
[FP]-LIMS as Connector
Captures spectral data, applies QA logic, and forwards it as structured input.
PDA System
The receiving system uses the data for statistical evaluation and preventive QA action.
